Astolfi
e Associati law firm was founded in 1955, when lawyer Antonio Astolfi
left his job as an assistant professor in international law at the
University of Pavia and set up his own practice in Milan, cultivating
his original interest for international commercial law.
During
the Sixties, Antonio Astolfi further enhanced his expertise through
his strong interest and specialisation in pharmaceutical and health
law.
In addition to his legal work, Antonio Astolfi has
always developed his scientific interests. This led him to found the
magazine "Diritto
comunitario e degli scambi internazionali"
in 1962, then, in 1970, the "Rassegna
di diritto farmaceutico",
which is currently in its 50th edition.
Under its new
title of "Rassegna
di diritto farmaceutico e della salute",
the review has progressively expanded its focus on health issues and
is considered an accurate and reliable source of juridical and
scientific information.
The
practice's specialisation in the field of pharmaceutical and health
law, known today as Life Sciences, was strengthened with the arrival
of the founder's son, Andrea Astolfi, a lawyer and professor of
commercial law at the University of Pavia, in 1975, and later of
Sonia Selletti, a lawyer with previous experience as the chief legal
officer of a pharmaceutical company.
Subsequently,
the law firm took its current name, Astolfi e Associati law firm.
Over the years, it has developed and enhanced its practice through
the work of its professionals, its relations with many other
colleagues in major Italian cities and its consolidated international
ties, which allow it to act for both Italian and foreign clients.
